Starter Forklift Golf Car Telecom Backup Power UPSIn the global race for higher efficiency, faster charging, and longer-lasting batteries, Highstar is advancing the field with its next-generation dual-layer coating technology. This innovative layered design overcomes performance limitations of traditional single-layer electrode coating, providing a breakthrough pathway for upgrading core battery metrics.
Unlike single-layer coatings that often require trade-offs between performance attributes, Highstar’s dual-layer solution precisely differentiates functional slurry compositions across two layers—achieving simultaneous improvements in multiple dimensions:
• Higher Energy Density: The top layer optimizes active material distribution to create a high-efficiency electrochemical reaction zone, while the bottom layer forms a compact support structure that minimizes inactive space. This results in increased energy density suitable for extended-range applications.
• Faster Charging Performance: The layered architecture establishes rapid ion and electron transport channels, reducing polarization effects and significantly shortening charging time.
Longer Cycle Life: A specially engineered bottom layer enhances adhesion between the coating and the current collector (aluminum or copper foil), preventing interface delamination and ensuring stable long-term operation.
Powered by Highstar’s proprietary dual-cavity die head and digitalized process control system, both layers are applied simultaneously with micron-level precision. Coating thickness variations are controlled within ±1 μm, and electrode mass variation remains below 0.8%. This ensures consistent performance across production batches and minimizes fluctuations caused by manufacturing deviations.
At present, dual-layer coated battery products have been widely adopted in both power battery and energy storage systems. The technology is well-suited for applications such as AI data centers, low-carbon economy infrastructure, and industrial and commercial energy storage, helping customers establish distinctive performance advantages amid increasingly intense market competition.
Looking ahead, Highstar will continue to advance from dual-layer toward multi-layer coating technology, pushing ongoing performance breakthroughs and expanding technological capability boundaries. These efforts will support the high-quality and sustainable development of the global new energy industry.

From June 3 to 5, the 19th SNEC PV+ International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai.

From cylindrical ternary lithium batteries to prismatic lithium iron phosphate batteries, and from sodium-ion batteries to the development of a low-carbon certification system, highstar continues to serve the global professional power market with multiple technology routes, diverse application scenarios, and multidimensional quality management capabilities.
